Any 7th or 8th grade students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math can now apply to the Governor's STEM Institute, a free summer camp. Seventh graders are learning to unleash the power of STEM in sports at WVU and 8th graders are studying the mysteries of outer space from the Green Bank Observatory. Students in Ms. Kowalski's 7th Grade Social Studies classes excavated Terracotta soldiers as part of their Ancient China Unit. Students enjoyed "digging out" the soldiers. Ms. Kowalski was able to provide this opportunity to her classes due to a grant she received.

Students in Ms. Kern's WV History classes are having daily visits from JJ, their West Virginia Elf. JJ has been teaching them about the different activities and places in West Virginia through his shenanigans.
