Jefferson County Schools (JCS) is aware that individuals or businesses may have received solicitations from Scholarship Calendars, operated by Phil Lester, related to a baseball poster or calendar project representing itself as affiliated with Jefferson High School, Washington High School, or other JCS athletic programs.
We want to be clear: this solicitation is not authorized by Jefferson County Schools, the Jefferson County Board of Education, or any JCS athletic program. Scholarship Calendars and Phil Lester do not represent our schools and have not been approved to raise funds on behalf of any JCS team, program, or school support organization.
If you have already made a payment or commitment in response to this solicitation, we encourage you to contact Scholarship Calendars directly to request a refund. JCS is not responsible for any funds collected through this unauthorized effort.
If you receive future solicitations of this nature, please do not contribute before verifying directly with the school. Sponsorship opportunities for athletic programs are coordinated through the Athletic Director at each high school, not through the district office.
