Today we welcomed back JCS teachers and service personnel to kick off the 2023-24 school year! Buses start rolling for students next Monday, August 21. We can't wait to see you then!

We began preparing for the new school year this week with our first-ever KinderCamp! The three-day event offered rising Kindergarten students the chance to tour the school, meet their teachers, and participate in fun learning activities. Nearly two dozen students took part in the unique opportunity, which included art and STEAM classes and a read-aloud. Campers also left with a bag full of goodies, including school supplies, games, books, and learning materials to use at home. What a way for these young students to jump-start the new school year! 🎉JCS is excited to welcome more than 60 new educators for the 2023-24 school year! We're having so much fun at New Teacher Orientation this week and can't wait to see students on August 21 for a brand new year! 🤩

On May 24th, every Ranson student in second grade received a new bag with 10 books of their choosing. Our school and students have worked with the local Martinsburg/Sunrise Rotary Reading Program, called Ranson Reads, for the past two years. The students were very excited when they received their new books and provided an opportunity in which students had a choice in what they would like to read from almost 100 book selections.

We welcomed back former Ranson Elementary School students who are getting ready to graduate this weekend. It was so fun for staff and students to welcome them back to RES and celebrate the Class of 2023. Congratulations!! We are so proud of you all!

Today is National School Nurse Day! We're proud to recognize the dedicated school nurses who make a difference in the lives of our students by protecting and promoting their health and advancing their academic success. Thank you for all you do!

Ranson Elementary hosted the Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on Monday, May 8th. We greatly appreciate our volunteers!

📣 Shoutout to our amazing bus operators on this School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Today and every day, we celebrate and thank our drivers for going the "extra mile" to transport our students to and from school safely. As a direct link between the home and classroom, they play a vital role in the education and well-being of our students. Consider thanking a school bus driver today! 🚌
